Hey everybody! Lots of exciting things going on and omg I can’t believe how much has happened in a month! The Taking A Chance Anthology is out so you can go check out my short story “Playing for Keeps” and read a bunch of other awesome authors’ work, I’ve received a release date for Head Over Tentacles (8/24/2021 – preorder link is still pending but I will post it asap!), and Strapped for Cash was accepted by my erotica publisher and edits start next week! Whew! I’ve ALSO finished Nautilus Than Perfect and submitted it to my other publisher, so I’m waiting with fingers and toes crossed for it to be accepted.

So, that’s books 4/5 done for my Cold Hard Cash series and 5/9 done for Sucker for Love Mysteries so far! (Technically, it’s like 6/9 for SFL because I did already write #8 because oops but I’m not there yet since I’m submitting them in order!) I’m proud of myself for sticking to my guns and focusing on these two series. I really want to finish at least one of them before starting anything else. Jinn & Tonic is gonna go on the back burner for a little while, but I won’t forget it. I’m just distracted by tentacles and gangsters right now.

Speaking of gangsters, I have started the outline for the new mafia series that is a spin-off from CHC. I don’t even know who reads this blog so what the hell! Here’s some exclusive juicy info: It’s going to feature Alistair Star as one of the MC’s, a man you meet in Strapped for Cash who was Cold’s closest friend, lover, and former dom. Obviously, they’re not together when Jimmy Poe comes around, but you’ll have to read Strapped to find out what happens to them…

The new book is all about a bratty young man named Noah Allan who has to pay a debt… huh, wait, that sounds kinda familiar. But this debt isn’t money. It’s blood. The man he owes is Alistair Star, a ruthless businessman who has connections to the mob and wants revenge. He believes Noah’s uncle killed one of his own, and Noah is gonna pay the price… one way or another.

Hope that sounds interesting and fun to you guys! It’s gonna be sexy and crazy, and I can’t wait to get started! I’m finishing up some exciting little bonus scenes for Strapped for Cash and a follow-up for my short story from the Taking A Chance Anthology PLUS a special birthday surprise for a dear friend. Once that’s all done, it’s mafia time! After I finish that, I will probably head back to Sucker for Love land to work on #6, and then… I will start the final Jimmy and Boss Cold book. <333

Happy April, my darlings! I hope you are all doing well! I’ve been staying busy and writing my brain into the ground in the best possible way. Friendly reminder that Wishes for Rohi is available now for your reading pleasure, and Taking A Chance comes out later this month! And then next month is Kraken My Heart! AH! ALL DE BOOKS! Whew! I’ve talked about wanting to keep this momentum going, and I am definitely going to try. I’m currently editing the rough draft of Strapped for Cash with the awesome Jen Griffin of Marked and Read, and I’m hopinnnnng to have this submitted by the end of the week, eh, maybe early next week.

I’ve also started the rough draft of Just Calamarried, SFL #5! My boys Sloane and Loch are back again and are navigating a new mystery while preparing for the arrival of a very unexpected little surprise. It is going well so far, and I’m hoping to finish the rough draft by the end of the month. Also also, because I may be insane, I have put Love Included, Heart Not Required into the capable paws of Abbie Nicole. She is going to use her super beta powers to help me turn this short story into a full novel, and I can’t wait to share this one with you. It has robots and weird robot sexy times and golden hearts and agh! I love this story, but I always hesitated to mess with it myself because honestly…? I didn’t know where to start. It just got too overwhelming, and I’d give up.

But now I have professional help so yay! XD

While I’m working away at the SFL Mysteries and editing everything ever, I’m also plotting my next gangster series. Okay, yes, I said I wasn’t gonna start any new series until I finished at least one of the many I’m working on right now BUT HEAR ME OUT! There’s a special character who debuts in Strapped for Cash who also will appear in the last Cold Hard Cash book – so – it makes sense in my brain to write his first book before starting the last Jimmy and Cold story.

The last Jimmy and Cold story. Damn, that’s weird as hell to write.

Anyway!

With that logic, I am probably most definitely very likely gonna be writing another MM mafia series with a brand new couple. One of them is the aforementioned special character, and well… He was Cold’s dom. <333 I’m very excited to write his story, and that should be next after I finish SFL #5/while I’m poking away at Love Included. Beyond that, I am super cereal serious about staying on task to finish at least one freakin’ series.

I mean it. I’m not gonna do it. I’m strong. Like bear. RAWR.

(She said, like a liar.)

I literally have a book coming out every month for the next three months, and I am so EXCITED. I don’t think this will happen very often so I am going to enjoy the whirlwind of crazy while I can. This is really amazing. The first is Wishes for Rohi, releasing on March 26th! It’s available for preorder now! Like, RIGHT NOW! Go check it out! Next will be my short story “Playing For Keeps”, releasing as part of the Taking A Chance charity anthology April 23rd. I don’t have a preorder link yet, but I will post it as soon as I do. And last but certainly not least, Kraken My Heart comes out May 18th! No preorder link for that one yet either, but hopefully soon!

My current goal is to finish Strapped for Cash and possibly maybe hopefully have it release in June to keep up this awesome momentum. Like, that would be just amazing, but I’m trying to remain calm and not burn myself out again. I mentioned this in my last writing blog, but I am trying to complete at least one darn series before moving to a new one. Cold Hard Cash is the logical choice having been my very first, and I want Jimmy and Cold to have their final happily ever after. I am determined to complete the CHC series before the end of the year.

I will also be working on my Sucker For Love Mysteries, and I’m going to try and start outlining #5 when I finish the rough draft of Strapped for Cash. After that, I really don’t know what the hell I’m going to do. I have one more finished manuscript that is technically ready for editing and publication, Love Included, Heart Not Required. Because this is a complete rough draft, this may be next after CHC/SFL if for no other reason that it’s done. It’s been floating around my future project pile for a long time, and it feels silly to wait.

Speaking of my endless future project pile, heh, you may notice that Last One to Let You Down #2 is gone. I know a lot of you really loved Cypress and Tom, but I am not going to continue their story. It took a lot to write something so personal, and I knew from the beginning that some readers would be put off by the level of detail I wanted to include. I thought I was fully prepared for the criticism, and I was wrong. I will always be proud of that story, but that’s it. I might write some short stories or some other bonus content for them in the future, but I am not going to write another book.

On a brighter note, I’ve been having a lot of fun filling my new Patreon with all sorts of exclusive and sexy content. The first fifteen chapters of the Strapped for Cash WIP are posted there for your reading pleasure, and I even started uploading some of my old smutty fan fiction. I don’t write fic these days, but I thought it might be fun to share some of it. I wrote for a lot of different fandoms, including The Flash, Gotham, Dragon Age, and more. I’ll also begin posting some of the Nautilus Than Perfect WIP this month, and I may work on a little bonus story for Cypress and Tom. This is still very new for me, and I honestly have no idea what else to put on there, so we’ll just see what happens!

I’m really excited to share all of my new releases with you guys, and I hope you guys enjoy them! Slow and steady and all that, right? I’m happy to announce that editing for Kraken My Heart is done, the cover has been approved, and all I’m waiting on is an official release date. Once that’s been selected, I will pick a release date for Wishes For Rohi, my second self-pub currently in the capable paws of Elouise East of ClockTower Editing!

Wishes was a book I had put off releasing, but the fact is… well. It’s already finished. I’ve barely been able to write one new chapter for the CHC prequel over the last few weeks, and then over here I have this totally complete manuscript that’s just doing nothing except collecting dust. My health has not fully recovered, and I’m still working like crazy. I simply can’t write anything new fast enough, and sooo tl;dr I’m going to move forward with the damn book that’s already written.

Like a lot of my books, it started as fan fic, and I’m so excited about sharing it as an original work – not to mention all the awesome ideas I have for that magical little world and moving forward with it as a series. I really do hope you guys like it, and omg the COVER! The COVER! All my love to Reese Dante for being so patient and wonderful and making this COVER!

That you can’t see yet. But soon. I swear!

Something else that slowed me down from writing new book goodness was completing my short story (tentatively titled “Playing For Keeps”) for the Take A Chance charity anthology. I was aiming for 25k, tapped out at 10.2k (the minimum was 10k), but I’m actually really happy with what I created. It’s short, it’s sexy, and you can totally learn how to make your own dildo.

It’s now with Jennifer Griffin of Marked and Read for editing, and the anthology releases April 23rd! I do hope you guys check it out. It’s for such a good cause, and there are so many AWESOME authors participating. It’s gonna be freakin’ sweet.

So, blah blah blah, all of that is done and editing stuff and wooooo!

I’m going to try and refocus my current efforts on the CHC prequel (Strapped For Cash is what I’m going with at the moment). I have the outline done, I know the ending, and now I just have to write the damn thing. I’m hopeful that real world crap simmers down so my brain will make pretty words, but I will still have THREE books coming out in the next few months!

Four if you count Sucker For Love #4 which has already been accepted by my publisher, and I’m just waiting for the editing to begin. Okay, it’s more like 3.25 since the Take A Chance entry is so short.

Whatever.

New stuff is on the way.

If you’re with me for it all, awesome. If you’re just here for mafia shenanigans, also awesome but please be patient. I’m getting there, I promise! I’m trying so very hard! XD

That’s pretty much it. I’m ignoring the rest of my WIP pile because of how little time I have and how overwhelmed I got before. I must finish at least one damn series before creating any new ones, and Cold Hard Cash is the logical choice.

It’s the closest to being finished, and it was my very first book. It needs its ending. <333

Ah, never fear! You’ll meet someone very special in Strapped For Cash who will satisfy all your bossy type gangster needs, and they will star in their own spinoff series… Which I’m not starting until CHC is done dammit. Hopefully. No! I can do this. I am strong. So very strong. Strong like bear.

Funny thing about being an author: it makes you into a big ol’ fat liar.

Looking at my last update, you’d think I had a great plan for 2021, lots of new projects to work on, and bunches of shiny books coming out soon. I dared to ask what could wrong with having such a crazy lineup, and ohhh, look that. Lots went wrong. Between my health and the drain of being an essential worker, all of those wonderful plans are now in the commode.

Oops.

I’ve had to scrap everything I was hoping to do, and now I’m only working on the edits for my Sucker For Love series while writing the rough draft of Strapped For Cash, the CHC prequel. I wanted to write so many other things (gods, genies, etc), but I sort of overwhelmed myself with too many ideas and not nearly enough time to do them. So, sadly, I’ve had to drop everything except for the aforementioned projects.

My new plan for 2021 is pretty much to survive 2021. I’ll write as much as I can, but it’s not going to be nearly the same volume I was able to produce before. Once I finish Strapped For Cash, I’ll likely move on to the final book of the CHC series while editing more Sucker For Love stuff. I’m not going to start or work on anything else until all of this is done. I simply don’t have enough time now.

I do have an anthology that I signed up for: Take A Chance. It’s a charity anthology that will benefit the AIDS Healthcare Foundation releasing April 23rd, 2021. My contribution will be a short story between 10k-25k, and my rough draft is due in early March. I already have a pretty good idea of what I’m doing (5kish already written), and I still plan to participate for such a great cause.

That’s pretty much it for now! Ulgh. The new year is not being kind to me so far, but I’m doing my best to be seen and not viewed. I sincerely hope everyone else is having a kickass 2021 and staying safe.

Okay, I know I said I was gonna have one more release before the end of the year. Uh. I lied. Although the cover for Wishes For Rohi is done (and it’s GORGEOUS), I’m still editing the darn book and oops now I’ve run out of time to release it before 2020 comes to a close. Last month really wiped me out, and I hate that I didn’t get this done. I’m now looking for a Feb/March release, but I will keep you posted. This is going to be book one of three for my Jinn & Tonic series, a simple and sexy trilogy of stories with mpreg and all kind of magical shenanigans.

I am super happy to announce that both #2 and #3 for my Sucker For Love Mystery series have been accepted, and I am actually in the process of editing #2 with my publisher now! I’ll share release info as soon as I have it, and I’m going to start getting #4 ready in a few weeks to submit. I love this crazy series so much, and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. Nine books is not a short order, but I’m already halfway there! You know, as long as I’m counting rough drafts and that one book that was #3 but then turned into #8. Whatever. I’m kicking ass.

I have also finally started outlining for CHC4: The Prequel, and this is definitely going to be my next big novel. I have a few other things to finish up before I start actively writing it, but it feels good to get something down on paper. You guys may remember this book as the one that will be told from Mickey’s POV and follow Cold’s rise to power (plus him gettin’ jiggy with Roger). I still have plans to write one final book for Cold and Jimmy, but that’s still some ways away. Like, Spring/Summer 2021 at the earliest depending on what my brain is up to.

I’ve started the rough draft for what will be the first book in my new Gods series (with the super awesome Jennifer Griffin), and I’m having a blast so far. It’s a lot of fun, and hopefully I will have some teasers to share with you soon. Once I finish the other ten million things on my list, ha! Finishing the edits for my publisher sort of trumps everything, so I’ll be focusing on those while working on the CHC4 outline, writing Gods #1, editing Wishes For Rohi, and editing my short story for the Taking A Chance anthology.

Yup. That’s fine. Totally fine.

What could go wrong!?

I swear, I am not going to start another series until I finish some of this stuff. There’s only… like… four… Four series isn’t that bad. I think. Cold Hard Cash (3/5), Sucker For Love Mysteries (5/9), Jinn & Tonic (1/3), Gods (1ish/5)… Yeah, nope, definitely not going to start any new stuff until I knock some of these out. I have so many awesome ideas brewing away in my brain, but I know if I stray too far that I will never finish any of these. I do hope you guys enjoy what I’m working on, and I still have lots of fun adventures to share with you.

Once I clear out my WIP’s a bit! ^_^;;;

For those who haven’t been paying attention, I’m very tired. I’m super dee duper excited and beyond proud of how well both of my new releases are doing, but I am exhaustedddd. Prepping and pimping just one new release is a lot of work – two has been nuts! If I can help it, this is not something I plan on doing again. Ever. Maybe. Hopefully.

As I recover from new release crazy person land, I’m finishing up the rough draft for Sucker for Love #4, tentatively titled Nautilus Than Perfect. Yes, I love puns. Kraken My Heart and Head Over Tentacles were BOTH accepted by my publisher, and editing for Kraken will begin soon. When I get any and all release information, I will let you guys know! I’m also getting ready to start a new series with the amazing Jennifer Griffin. It’s going to be our take on modern gods with lots of BDSM and sexy times and whew, it’s some hot stuff. I can’t wait for you guys to see what we have planned!

Looking wayyy into the future, I’m still trying to decide when to start on what will be the beginning of the end for Cold Hard Cash. I know how much you guys all love Jimmy and Boss Cold, but I think their story is nearly done. I don’t want them to wear out their welcome or any of that, plus it gives me a chance to write more sexy mafia shenanigans and meet some new faces. And maybe, just maaaaybe, there’ll be some familiar ones along the way.

One quick note about the heavy edits for Wishes For Rohi. This is also the start of another series called Jinn and Tonic (what is that, three now? Sucker For Love, Cold Hard Cash, Gods, and Jinn and Tonic. Wait, shit, that’s FOUR!), but my plans for it have changed. This is a sexy fantasy story with mpreg and omegaverse elements, but I left the mpreg/mating process very vague and sort of meh? For the sake of clarity and making this book’s universe hold water as it goes on, yeah, I gotta do some heavy rewrites.

At least the cover is done? And oh, is it SEXY.

Maybe a reveal soooooon.

I’m feeling very good about my Tentacles series since I reordered everything. I know it seems very weird, but I can’t explain why I did it without giving away a very big spoiler. Just trust me. The story in Book 3 needs to happen much later for everything to fall into place. So, the “old” Book 4 turned into the “new” Book 3 while the “old” 3 got bumped to 8. The original story for 8 was just trashed which is fine because I hadn’t even written it yet. Since there was nothing stopping me from submitting the new 3 now, I went ahead and got it into my publisher! Now, we waaaaaaait! D:

Speaking of waiting, I’m still waiting for my other publisher to give me a release date for the CHC: Collection. Hopefully soon! I really can’t wait to share all of that sexy smutty goodness with everyone! XD

Also, don’t freak out about the CHC series being on hiatus. Everything is pretty much on hiatus right now. I’m having some health problems, and writing has become very difficult for me. It sucks because I absolutely love writing, but I can’t make my brain work. I’m a wee bit stressed ulgh, just haven’t been able to focus on anything. Hopefully as I start to feel better, I can start to get back to it soon. <333

Last One To Let You Down: My new juicy Undertaker/Florist romance is almost done! 98/100k and one chapter left to write! I’m right on schedule, and I am going to focus my editing efforts on getting THIS story out as soon as I can. It’s sexy and fun and who knows – there’s always potential to turn this into another series, too! I mean, that is if you all aren’t grossed out by all the embalming talk. ^^;;

Sucker For Love #5-9: As eager as I am to continue this series, I already have the first four books done ( all in various stages of editing, blah blah blah! ) and wheewwwww I really need to breathe. I have so many other things going on, and my poor brain is so very fried. I am definitely going to see this through to the end, but I need a break from Tentacle land for a little while.

Ramblings/Drabbles/BLEGH

Okay, so! I am very happy that I made some good progress compared to where I was last month. One book is just waiting to be published, another has been submitted for publishing, and I almost finished a brand new one! YAY!

** Real quick, you may have noticed that this title changed. Turns out there’s already a pretty well known book called As You Wish (it’s a Princess Bride book!), and I don’t want anyone to get confused with what THIS book is about. Not that anyone really would, tho one of the MC’s does say “as you wish” pretty often, but ehhhhhh… yeah.

As I’m wrapping up my Undertaker/Florist story, I have no idea what I’m going to work on next. It really just depends on what my brain decides to jump on. Gotta follow the Muse and all that. I haven’t been feeling all that great lately, so I may actually take a little bit of a break from writing.

Now, I’ve said that before and then just started writing something completely out of left field, so who knows! I definitely need some time to breathe. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens. I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy out there. Take care! <333

I have a bit of a problem with trying to juggle ten million things at once, and I’m hoping this helps. Lots of juicy BDSM and a very sweet dog that may have eaten someone’s face. 16k/100k written so far! I’m expecting this to be my next release with SNP by the end of this year. Fingers crossed! <333

Future Projects

CHC Prequel: Yeah, this book I’ve been teasing for months and still haven’t started. My plan was to write it from Mickey Tamerlane’s POV to follow Boss Cold’s rise to power and follow Mickey’s turbulent relationship with Roger Lorre. Every single freakin’ time I try to start the outline, I’ve got nothin’ to write. Maybe next year.

CHC FINAL BOOK: Yupppp. There’s still one more story rolling around in my head for my dear Jimmy and Cold… and maybe a certain FBI agent wants to come back and take one final crack at the gangster king. This one is also a long ways off into next ye, but it will be the end of the series for sure. <333

The Yawn Of Churchyards: The sexy story of a young man who discovers he’s a witch with strange sensual abilities that require an entire coven to satisfy. I was having so much fun writing this and then brain went BLEGH at around 9k. I do want to finish this one, but I have no idea when I’ll get back to it.

Sucker For Love #5-9: I’m pretty set on getting this series going with the first four books already done, but I want to stay on a good schedule sooo I may start #5 this winter? Uh? Possibly? XD

And of course, while all of THAT is going on, I still have even more ideas kicking around in my brain. I already have plans for a second series set in the Sucker For Love universe, but this one wouldn’t focus so much on the gods. It would instead explore the hidden world of the everlasting peoples, the monstrous races created by the gods who are all thought to be extinct. Some characters from Sucker For Love would play parts here and there, but for the most part it’s going to be an entirely new cast of characters.

There’s also my very silly Space Pirate/Flight Attendant world that I want to return to. I think I had shared the original short as a Sexy Saturday some time ago. For those that aren’t familiar, it’s a sci-fi romance with some hardcore Firefly vibes about a young star who is searching for the pieces of his broken heart and accidentally kidnaps a flight attendant. This would probably be a standalone story like Mortal Sins, but you never know!

Some other rambling ideas I have are a serial killer/cop love story, a cannibal Christmas town, and I actually wrote this modern twist on the Hades/Persephone story, but it takes place long after Hades and Persephone have divorced and Hades is lookin’ for a fella to spend some sexy quality time with.

Oh, and last but certainly not least, I really want to write some fantasy.

Now, I’ve learned that my writing style isn’t a good fit with high fantasy like Tolkien, so this would be more of a Galavant-esque comedy about a young prince whose kingdom is cursed until he can find his one true love or something. When I’m not writing hot smut, I think that I’m pretty funny. Maybe. Kind of. Anyway!

So, there you go! Here was a big ol’ look at everything I’m working on and planning on getting into over the next few months. Hopefully by the time I do this post next month, I will have made some awesome progress! <333
